As advertised, the dial is indeed made of mother-of-pearl and you can actually see the shimmering nacreous glow of this fine dial. Date windows in the top quadrant show off the month and the day. A near identical copy is the RW5 “Blancpain Villeret Moon Phase Men’s Watch”. The white dial can’t match the nacre of the original – unfortunately that would be impossible for a copier to do. But the rest of it is a triumph of the art of the copy. The positions of the Roman hour markers and the date markers are reversed – but still true and accurate in this instance.
